Dr. Keaton chose to train in medicine to help her patients heal. She has continued to pursue ways outside the mainstream of medicine to help those who need more than a conventional western medical approach. She brings three decades of experience in effective natural therapies to help her patients find solutions to their health concerns.
Her medical degree is from National University of Natural Medicine in 1989. She then trained in Acupuncture and did her residency at the ARE Clinic in Phoenix. In 2009 she began using a low dose of the drug naltrexone. Specifically she has done advanced training in LDN and worked with autoimmune diseases and fibromyalgia with this medication. Over the past years she has been able to help many patients find better lives without the side effects of conventional drug treatment using this medication.
Dr. Keaton is both a naturopathic physician and a licensed acupuncturist. She was one of the early Naturopathic physicians in Arizona and one of the first licensed Acupuncturists. In 1990 she began the process of co founding a medical school in Arizona. The South West College of Naturopathic Medicine was created. She continues to take students under her wing to train as excellent physicians. Part of the training consists of following patients who have responded to LDN.
Patients also avail themselves of testing and other treatments. These may be detoxification, hormone balancing, thyroid and adrenal balancing, dietary changes, Vitamins, acupuncture, homeopathy and other plans specific to the individual’s health challenges.
