The Trustees

Linda Elsegood - I'm 51 years of age, and live with my husband Marcus in Norfolk with our 3 cats and 1 dog. We have 2 very beautiful grown-up daughters and 1 grandson of whom we are very proud.

I was diagnosed with MS in August 2000 at the age of 44, but my MS can now be traced back to when I was 32 or younger. I have Relapsing/Remitting MS and was having attacks every 6 months; it took months for a relapse to recede, only to have another one start. In October 2003 I was told I had Secondary Progressive and there was nothing anyone could do to help me. I decided to take matters into my own hands, and started LDN in December 2003. On my next check-up at the hospital in February 2004, I was told I didn't have Secondary Progressive, but was in fact still Relapsing/Remitting. LDN has helped me with fatigue, restless legs, bladder, bowel, burning legs, leg strength, tingling in feet, sleeping and 'fog in the head'. I now have a better quality of life and hope for the future.

Linda's Story

Alex Parker -  I am 44 years old, and I live in Enfield, North London. My daughter (22) and youngest son (19) live with me, and my eldest son (20) lives with his mother in Essex.

My problems started in August 2001 with double vision. I was diagnosed with Relapsing/Remitting MS in January 2003, after my second episode. In July 2003 I started receiving beta-interferon treatment which, in my opinion, has progressed the disease.

I met Linda Elsegood on the internet, and she brought LDN to my attention. I feel it is the most positive MS treatment available so far. I started LDN in July 2004, and immediately slept better, without waking in the night with restless legs. I am still in the early days of treatment, so there may be more improvements to come. As long as I don't get any worse, I will be happy.

I believe that LDN should be made available to all MS patients, and this is why I joined the team.

Neil Lucas - I am a 41 year old entrepreneur, married to Lesley, and we live in Edinburgh, Scotland with our daughter Rosie.

I've had MS since the age of 32; but this hasn't stopped me from being a hard worker, or carrying on with my life! For several months, I had done a lot of research into LDN, which convinced me of its many benefits, and in June 2005, I attended the first LDN conference in New York. I felt so strongly in favour of LDN that I wanted to get involved with the Charity, and offered my services as a Trustee, which were accepted.
